Is the Finale really going to be titled "The Children" ?

Interesting.

Clearly there's stuff with the Stark kiddies.  And there's definitely stuff for Tywin's kids.  And Dany is the "mother of dragons" after all.  ButI'm thinking they're quite possibly racing through Bran's plot too.  Unless they're faking out the book sullied. ... And any possibility of Mance's baby?  I always wondered whether they were just going to skip that bit since Mance has been a rather...erm... low key presence on the show.

I think it might refer to Bran's plot.

I'm so looking forward to the Lannister scenes in the finale though.

It was the Lannister stuff at the end of ASoS that had me screaming. So, yeah, that's the part I'm looking forward to.

That and the epilogue. They had BETTER include the epilogue.

I hope so too. After all this, there is some need for a gratifying death...and coming back from that.

I wonder if they will move the living dead story line a bit faster next season though than in the books.

I guess, they will bring the zombiemountain a bit more to the centerstage, maybe?

Yeah, I wonder whether we'll be getting more of an explanation on Zombie Mountain (tangent: And what about Cold Hands? I always wanted an explanation on what in the heck Cold Hands actually was or was up to). And, of course, Stoneheart can/should be given more to do next year than in the book. I mean, why the heck not? (I wish that Nymeria the direwolf could enter that storyline. I just don't know how it could be explained on screen that it's Arya's missing direwolf. :( )

And I wonder when they're going to establish more wide-spread warging. (I always figured so-and-so warging is essential not only for ADwD's cliffhanger but also for the endgame with the dragons).

I vaguely remember Ayra having dreams about her direwolf Nymeria in the books.
So that could be a way of doing it? She also had dreams of her mother being drowned and well...

Wasn't it Nymeria who dragged Catelyn's body from the river?

Maybe there'll be more stuff about the creepy White Walker baby?

Given the stuff that's left to do "The Children" is an interesting thematic note.

There's also Stannis's adorable little daughter. Melisandre was hinting about her quite threateningly a few episodes back.

Yeah.

Mel has a thing about King's Blood. It's why they made Gendry take the place of the other Baratheon bastard in the books. And, yeah, storywise the sword of Damocles has been hanging over Stannis's daughter's head re: both King's Blood and her carrying the 'plague' (i.e. the thing on her face).

I think that stuff will definitely factor in next season. Don't know if it will be in the finale because they have a crazy amount of stuff to go through.

They usually manage to cameo everyone in the last episode, so I expect to see something of Stannis. Maybe him turning up at the Wall will be the last thing?

I suppose he can sail there without running foul of the horrible , or can he?

Not to mention ironic.

I hope it's about the dragons because we haven't seen them in too long.

I think the dragons are going to be a set of "the children". In the books Dany definitely views them as such.

Oh joy. Maybe Bran's plot will get interesting.

Or at least useful. His ability to see past events could be of use, not just in revealing secrets but in allowing the audience to have all sorts of information that would otherwise be denied.

And The Children of the Forest.

I figure -- yeah. They're going to show up to (quite early.) I wonder, what are they going to do when they run out of Bran plot, because if he's already reaching The Children of the Forest, I don't see where he has any plot whatsoever beyond next season. (Although, I suppose they could always use him to fill in back story... which will probably be necessary at some junctures.)

Backstory next season then presumably weirwood.net comes into play as comms when it all (hopefully) comes together.

Unless GRRM goes for the nuclear option and the humans never get their act together and are all wiped out.
