Not Everyone Watches the Same Show As You

Fandom never ceases to amaze.  Really, people watch/read the same thing and yet do not watch/read the same thing.  You see this whenever you see contentious fandom debates.

Things that GOT fans debate/discuss that make me shake my head and wonder what book are they reading/what show are they watching...

* All the Stannis lovers.  He has some really intense (book) fans.  Don't get it.  He's such an ancillary character to me.  At best I find him 'meh.'

* Whether or not DrogorapedDany  in Season1 / Book1.  I don't care whether they're discussing the show or the books.  Yeah, the consummationwas different in the book, but did they skip the next Dany chapters?  Seriously, folks, if NONE of that read asrapeto you, I don't understand how you think.

*  The misogyny directed at Catelyn.  Yes, Catelyn was always flawed.  I resented the hell out of her attitude towards Jon Snow.  But, she had good qualities.  Yes, she messed up.  Her actions had consequences, but excessive hatred of her in some quarters often smacks of some very sexist biases.

* Whether or not inclusion ofStoneheartis optional.  Truly, this ongoing debate makes me boggle because... did they not read Feast or Dance?  How isStoneheartinclusion optional?
