Various tidbits of info on miscellaneous shows picked up from TV Guide (Casting news No story spoilers):

Question: Got any intel on the next season of Battlestar Galactica?
Ausiello: Lucy Lawless is gonna do a few episodes playing a Christiane Amanpour-type character. And I hear Sci Fi censors are freaking out about a really disturbing (yet visually stunning) scene in Episode 5. An upcoming issue of TV Guide magazine will have more on that little controversy.

Question: Any chance you could get the name of the actor leaving Lost in October due to a contract dispute? Or at least a not-so-subtle hint? Fans are literally going nuts debating this.
Ausiello: Well, they can relax. Turns out the source of that rumor — an alleged interview J.J. Abrams did on L.A. radio station KROQ — was bogus. Just like that whole Samuel L. Jackson/IMDb thing. A good rule of thumb moving forward? Take any/all Lost rumors/spoilers with a grain of salt.

Question: Please, please tell me what's going to happen next season on Nip/Tuck. I can't take it anymore!
Ausiello: Today's your lucky day, Jillian! Third-season Nip/Tuck intel finally started trickling into my cubicle last week. As first reported in Tuesday's Entertainment News, Bruno Campos — aka Dr.Costa, the Atlanta-based plastic surgeon who stitched up Sean's lacerated face — is joining the show as a full-fledged series regular. "Going with the Frankenstein theme of the show, he's a splice of both Sean and Christian," Campos explains of his character. "He is as committed to the surgical profession as Sean, and he's as committed in the sexual [arena] as Christian. So the idea is, he's gonna form a triangulation. I don't know much more beyond that." And what about rumors that the doc may actually be the Carver, as some (read: me) have speculated? "It's crossed my mind," he admits. "But I don't know who the Carver is. I don't think any of the actors know." Here's an interesting little sidenote about Campos: The onetime Jesse actor was actually series creator Ryan Murphy's first choice to play Christian — that is, until Julian McMahon walked in and snatched the role out from under him. Hey, how ironic would it be if Campos did turn out to be the serial slice 'n' dicer, who ended Season 2 driving a knife into McMahon? Pretty freakin' ironic.
A few more nuggets for ya: In addition to Campos, Jessalyn Gilsig (Gina) and Kelly Carlson (Kimber) are also being promoted to series regulars; the first two surgeries will be like nothing we've ever seen on TV before; and John Hensley's Matt will go to some very, very dark places. But the best news is that after what felt like a 16-year hiatus, production on Season 3 gets under way next week in Los Angeles and new episodes will debut in September. Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

[The first two surgeries would almost certainly be the ones on Christian. Poor Christian must be HUGELY messed up. :( But then I guess we knew that from the Season 2 cliffhanger. Yikes!]

Question: What have you heard about the rumored changes that UPN has suggested be made to Veronica Mars? Please tell me it's not true! How could they take our wonderfully clever show and turn it into a commercial sell-out already?
Ausiello: Yes, it's true that UPN has asked series creator Rob Thomas to make some tweaks to the show's format, but nothing — I repeat, nothing — is set in stone. OK, one thing is set in stone: A major cast member is leaving early in the season. And in case you're wondering where the answers to your Rob Thomas queries are, I'm still waiting to get da man on da phone.

Billie Piper is to earn £120,000 after agreeing to star in four extra episodes of Doctor Who. There were no actual spoilers, just casting news.

To some, me included, news about casting - such as the departure of a major cast member - is indeed a spoiler.

WEll, I suppose I'm used to TWoP's guidelines regarding what's defined as spoiler which was tha casting news which appears in major publications falls into a category of reasonably common knowlege. Since it appears in TV Guide it's not exactly digging for spoilers. I mean, I don't even watch the show or keep up with spoilers for it and I already knew about it.

All My Children
JR stands in stunned disbelief when Di the nanny tells him that she is really his long-lost mother, Dixie. Adam, JR and Tad (and just about everyone else in Pine Valley) crave straight answers from Di/Dixie. Greenlee and Simone move ahead with Greenlee's wacky mission to steal Ryan's seed from the sperm bank. Self-loathing and sulky as usual, Ryan is haunted by Lavery family issues that set off his fiery temper!

It would seem TV Guide isn't big with the Ryan love either.

Well he is a sulky, whiny, abusive ragemonkey (who is married to a selfish harpy who also happens to be a ragemidget.)
