They've updated the stuff released on the Peter David Spike Comic (and it seems it may not end up as simply a one off after all. There's a possibility of a limited Spike series). Anyway, now the artwork from before has dialog.

Why do I get the feeling that any Spike limited series is going to feature unsouled, unredeemed Spike?

It's all according.

That said, given the stuff I've read with Peter David before with his Trek Q series, David is actually quite good a the gray area and anti-heroes. He pretty consistently made the amoral Q the "hero" of his novels (and NOT in a Christopher Golden "Pretty Maids" kind of way), so I'm willing to give him a chance.

I certainly agree that it's better than no Spike at all. Sigh! It's probably all we're going to get.

From what Joss says, he's not going to get round to doing these Buffyverse movies in the near future, if at all. James will be too old.
