Sarah Michelle Gellar Can't Be Replaced... Except She Can

Not even about Buffy. I'm just watching todays All My Children on SoapNet and I do have to give kudos to Alicia Menshew (playing SMG's old role of Kendal Hart) and Eden Reigel (as Kendal's sister Bianca). The pair of them managed to make me cry. Yeah, yeah, it's a manipulative, overly dramatic, and out and out cruel storyline, but the Kendal/Bianca scene was heartbreaking as Kendal had to tell her younger sister Bianca that Bianca's baby had died. (Well, not really. There was actually a baby-swap and someone else has her baby. See, I said it was a manipulative soap plot) but Alicia and Eden heartbreaking--over the top a bit, and incoherent in grief, but very moving nontheless. Not sure I can imagine SMG's Kendal in the scene. She was never that vulnerable. Alicia and Eden were way, way, way too emotional for that. And, yeah, maybe over the top... but then it's still emotionally moving because Bianca just lost her infant and the two characters had invested so much emotion in that baby.
