Last night while watching the finale of Hell's Kitchen (which really isn't 1/4 as entertaining as Iron Chef) they had this long ass commercial for Nick Brendon's new show... and the show looks like it might be interesting. The thing is, in this LONG ASS commercial they managed to not show NB even once.

Did they just focus on the lead? I thought I read that NB was supposed to be the lead's best friend so you would have thought he showed somewhere in there...

Not sure. They showed a lot of two guys in the preview, and I think I may have seen the top of NB's head once but basically the commercial gave him no exposure whatsoever. It was made to look entirely about two other guys. . .beats me who they were.

Still, it kind of looked like it might be funny.

I saw the pilot - it wasn't bad, but not likely something I'll watch much. Bradley Cooper from 'Alias' is the main star. NB wasn't too prominent in the first episode.

Well, I tend to get snagged into watching cooking shows fairly easily and since this looked sort of like a weird hybrid of The Restaurant, Bobby Flay, and Sex and the City, I figured I'd give it a look-see.

I saw the commercial and NB did appear in it -- I wasn't aware he was in Kitchen Confidential until I saw the commercial last night during HK. He appears to have lost weight. However, I got the distinct impression from the focus of the commercial that it's Bradley Cooper's new show (late of Alias and Jack & Bobby)and NB is just 'one of the gang'.

Must have been at the start of the commercial then, before it caught my eye because as soon as I realized what it was I searched for NB and didn't see his face once. I was pretty sure I got a glimpse of the top of his head in a cooking shot, but it didn't even have a shot of his face. I never would have realized he was on the show from the commercial. Must have missed the first part where he was shown.

Yeah, I'm not sure where I caught him in the commercial (beginning, middle, or end). I believe they actually showed the commercial itself twice (at least, I saw it twice). BC caught my eye because I liked him in J&B but didn't realize that he had a new show next season. NB was shown in (I think) two shots -- one where I saw his face and one where I think we only saw his head, not face. But again, he was not prominently featured at all (not sure if that surprises anyone). That actress that was in The Pretender and that silly show with Eric Roberts is also appearing and was featured a bit more. There may have been someone else I recognized, too, but I can't remember who it was...
