Had to go out to measure an abandonned school this morning for a new renovation project. Guess what? I fell in a hole, spraining my ankle. Now, I sit in my office with a bag of frozen peas strapped to my ankle. *sigh*

Ooh, nasty! Hope the frozen peas do the trick and you'll soon be mobile again.

Ouch. Be sure to elevate it when you get home.

Ow! You might want to have that checked out by an orthopaedic surgeon. Seriously! More than 20 years ago I sprained my ankle very badly and was told 6 weeks later that I should've had it casted because strained/stretched ligaments are actually harder for the body to heal than bones, and require much the same support to heal properly. Because I didn't, that ankle is still slightly swollen. Take care of you, dear!

Owowow! (My sister did the frozen peas thing a lot once she was out of the cast, because her leg would still swell.) Feel better.

Hopefully. From experience I know it will probably hurt more tomorrow than it has today. But it seems like just a grade 1 sprain so it should heal fairly quickly.

It shouldn't be too serious. It doesn't seem as severe as the one I had in high school or a few years ago, so it shouldn't be too serious.

Elevated now.

Thanks.

It doesn't seem to be as bad as the sprain I had in high school. I've followed the age old advice of icing it, elevating it, and stablizing it with an elastic bandage. If it isn't better by Thursday I'll bother my sister about it (she's a M.D.) and see what she says.

Yeah. Not much else to do for it. Have it wrapped with an ace bandage and elevated today. Hope it heels some before the ballgame this weekend.
