And Farscape Stuff

Whee! Moment: I got my Farscape Season 2 boxset! I rewatched Liars, Guns, and Money I, II, III and Die, Me, Dichotomy Sigh. I love Farscape. They bothered with those little things like continuity! I love how they brought back so many characters/species from Season 1. I'm not entirely sure that I bought all the noble deaths of former villains, but you know something? I don't care that I don't really buy it. I liked that in the Farscape-verse even one off villains can find redemption of sorts. And, not all of them got redeemed. And, of course, I loved the "You found your way into my heart"/ "You showed me that I had one" moment with Aeryn and Crichton. And I love the way that Aeryn dies. Pure bravery there. Aeryn's my hero. Right up there with Dana Scully.

Absolutely. Someone should make Whedon watch ALL the Farscape DVDs a la Alex in "A Clockwork Orange" (eyelids pried open with wires) while intermittently yelling at him "You see, you moron? That's how a real hero behaves! Flawed, yes -- depressed at times, yes -- in pain and denial a lot of the time, yes -- but in the end, a human being with actual feelings who learns something and changes her life!"

That's my little fantasy, at least.
