shipperxOverall, nice second to a trilogy. The "Life on Mars" guy is kinda awesome. His Master is both hilarious and psychotic. His companion is pretty creepy as well. Also on the 'good' side, I'm loving me some Captain Jack. (Insert obligatory squee here).
Related to that, the doctor himself is really pissing me off with the way he's treating Jack. I can handle his being beyond oblivious to Martha (though I loved the "you too?" interchange between Martha and Jack) but Ten is irking me big with the way he's treating our omnisexual time agent.
Also, I'm loving Martha reaching a state of disillusion and out-and-out anger at Ten. It's about time for her to have an emotion for him that's not worship. Between the way he has treated Martha and the way that he's treating Jack, she should be reaching a ticked off stage by now. And I find it decidedly great that she's going to have to go it a bit on her own. Her vowing to return to fight another day was wonderful.
The most negative note I can make... I don't know whether to roll my eyes or laugh at the American family entirely dressed in sports jerseys with a box of popcorn complete covered with the American flag. Blow up the president, and it's all good. (I mean, we regularly kill off the President in US programs. Twenty-four has killed off two, made one evil, and given a third brain damage. So - sure, discentegrate the Prez. It's all fun.) But with the family of sports fanatics, I couldn't decide whether Rusty had seen a few too many beer commercials, was having fun w/ stereotypes or what. I was left wondering how to react -- rueful laughter, or rueful WTF?!
Looking forward to the finale as the preview looked AWESOME. (Though I will be late viewing the finale because I'm heading to the beach for the long 4th of July weekend, and I rarely bother to try to find wi-fi access when at the beach, so it will have to wait until after the 4th.)
And Ten had better have some nice words of Jack or Ten is going to end up on my not so good side for a while! :)
