What Am I Going To Watch?
Sep. 26th, 2005 10:20 amHmmm... most of the premieres have happened and I suppose it's time to program the faux TiVo. Looking at the schedule of new and old shows and what ranks where, here's what I have thus far:
Monday
Honestly, nothing on Monday has my loyalty enough to TiVo. I'll skim through some stuff but nothing is special to me.
Tuesday
Damn, Tuesday looks like a busy night and Sex and the City reruns on TBS may need to be deleted (I've seen all the episodes, anyway). So, hmm..
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
I've been watching Battlestar Gallactica but it just went on re-runs until January. I may (belatedly) give Threshold a shot. I haven't watched thus far but I have the BSG slot to fill.
Saturday
Still a wasteland... and usually when I watch the stuff I've TiVoed that I haven't actually gotten around to watching.
Sunday
Same as Saturday. ALthough I noticed that the WB is doing an "Easy View" Sunday re-run of Supernatural in the afternoon, so I may TiVo it then and watch at my convenience.
Shows I've sampled but went "eh" and didn't make the watch or TiVo list -- "Bones", "How I Met Your Mother", and "Kitchen Confidential" (and this summer's 5 ep sampling of "Veronica Mars") Sorry, Whedonverse alums, JM is the only alum who can make me watch a show where I'm bored and disinterested (if not out and out irritated)... and even JM is treading on thin ice in this regard.

"My Name is Earl": Strong season premiere which amused me enough to watch again and hope it holds up. Yeah, I'll TiVo.
"The Amazing Race": Yep, this old stand-by will remain... until such time as they cast another Jonathan then I might change my mind. But, at this point, it wins.
If either Earl or TAR look to not be working out Supernatural is a stand-by. I enjoyed the season premiere but it was a bit derivative. Plus, WB is re-running the eps on Easy View Sunday, so, in that case it may be TiVOed on Sunday. (Wish all networks would double run. Hear that "Everyone Hates Chris"/UPN?)
Nip/Tuck As beyond screwed-up as always. Of course I have to watch.
Wednesday
Lost will remain on TiVO. Sure, I bitch and gripe. It's not a BtVS or X-Files obsession, but I enjoy it well enough.
Invasion I'll probably watch but not TiVO. I was sufficiently interested to give the series a chance but not so sucked in that it's must-see-tv.
Thursday
Survivor: Guatamala It's looked like a BITCH this season with the heat and the puking and... I think I'm gonna have to watch how this trainwreck ends. Won't TiVo it, but will watch while TiVO-ing...
Smallville Damn you, JM. You're making me watch this show just to see you. I figure TiVO is the least painful way to watch.
I did sample Everyone Hates Chris on UPN. And it is amusing, but I can live with not watching.
