Running Commentary While Watching Lost
Sep. 28th, 2005 09:01 pm* Hee. Of course Sawyer lived. Oh, and it's "MIKE" now. And he's going after Mike. ::pets Sawyer:: Now find, Jin, please.
* Locke? I'm confuzzled. Are we flashing back to what we didn't see last week with LOST? I mean, I know I wasn't watching closely, but we were beyond this point in the hatch story. I know we were.
* Okay so Michael was under water for maybe 15 seconds. Sawyer, however was SHOT... so why is Michael the one unconscious and dying? And WHERE THE FREAKING HELL IS JIN?!?!?! I want my sexy, curly headed Korean!
* Okay, Mike know why you're yelling for Walt, what about Jin?
* Um...Locke, pulling off your shoes? Ever see "Die Hard?" I'm just sayin...
* Thank you, Sawyer, for remembering that Jin is missing and... ruh-roh... sharks (and it looks like a BIIIIIGGGGGG shark too!)
* Michael, it really isn't Sawyers fault that Walt got kidnapped. And, really, blaming Sawyer for the shark because he's BLEEDING? (Heh, Guess I'll just stop BLEEDING then!) And what do you owe a "thank you" to Sawyer for? Um... maybe for just SAVING your ass? It's just a thought.
* Micheal's ex is still a selfish bint.
* ::sniffle:: Still no Jin. And, wow, Sawyer... I wouldn't be dangling appendages off the raft with Jaws swimming around.
* So, um, crazy Scottish guy and we already had a crazy French Woman. Is this land of the International Crazy Lost People?
* So Locke bluffs with the truth. Smart move.
* And is there NO genre show I can watch without being subjected to endless, repetitive Firefly promos? Seriously, guys, pictures of Summer Glau stuck to the ceiling are beginning to just piss me off because it's CREEPY! And unnatractive. And not at all appealing, okay!
* Heh. Claire found Charlie's smack. (Well, kinda. She found the Virgin Mary, not the smack).
* ::sniffle:; still no Jin.
* And now Sawyer is swimming with Jaws. Eek! (I have a fear of sharks. Okay? Then again, don't we all?)
* Wow! Walt-Mom is a MANIPULATIVE, selfish bint. (Hey, you think maybe the reason Michael isn't close to Walt is YOU keep leaving the freaking COUNTRY! And painting Michael wanting a relationship with his son as selfish? Gee, ya think maybe always taking jobs out of the country [because there aren't any jobs in the US or anything] and never making any effort for your son to have a relationship with his father [or even visit him in the hospital] might be a little selfish?!)
* Heh. Kate got locked in with a crap load of supplies. What's the label on all those things?
* Heh. I always love how ducts in the movies and TV are the big ass feeder ducts. They're never the smaller ones that usually leads to vents. Here's a a little dose of reality, for a room that size you most probably wouldn't have a duct that large. Because unless it has the air exchanges of a freaking surgical O.R. it wouldn't need to move that much air and thus... probably woulnd't be sized that large. It would cause too much rattling in the ducts.
* Figures that the code to execute are rather familiar, doesn't it.
* Sawyers really working on getting some appendage eaten, isn't he.
* Jaws shot.
* Jaws shot WITH Jaws
* Crazy Sawyer. Swim, Crazy Sawyer. Swim for your liiiiiiiiiiiife!
* Michael goin' all Police Chief Brody on Jaws's ass. Nice shot... lot of shark blood though. I mean, what kind of bullets is that gun packing?
* Little Walt is still too adorable for words.
* Aw... Sawyer gonna give Mike a hug?
* And where the fuck is Jin?! Don't be dead, Jin! Don't be dead!!!
* Of course we knew they were gonna end up on the island again. Of course they were.
* Jin! You're alive! Tortured, but alive! And clearly screaming in Korean "Run away. Run awayyyyyyy!!!!!!!!"
All in all... mostly, I would say, an exciting episode. Good pacing over all. Sets up next week nicely. I'm stoked.

Date: 2005-09-29 04:44 am (UTC)Back on the island it's, telling the last episode from Locke's POV rather than Jack's, so we start just at the point where Locke was going down the hatch. Locke met up with Desmond who was holding a gun on him. Locke told Desmond he wasn't the one to worry about, that Kate's a fugitive and he was just middle management at a box company. He suggested that they just tie Kate up. Kate is pissed, but notices that Locke slips a Swiss Army knife into her pants (no a REAL Swiss Army kniff) as he ties her up loosely. Desmond throws her into a supply room. Once she cut her bonds she turns on the light and discovers that it's a HUGE store room of food. She finds a stash of chocolate bars, savors one, and tries to escape through the ducts.
Back on the raft Michael is blaming a bleeding Sawyer for having talked him into shooting off the flare and it's all Sawyer's fault. Sawyer points out how it's not his fault... and we see a huge ass shark under the boat.
Back at the camp Charlie mocks that Jack's probably off trying to do something heroic and Claire rolls her eyes.
Locke tries to get some useful info out of Desmond... who is incredulous that the Losters have been on the island for 47 days. We see a wall where Desmond has been counting his days... and it's a LOT more than 47. Desmond asks "So the world outside still exists?" Locke answers that as far as he knows it does. And asks whether the grow light is because Desmond doesn't go outside. Is that why there's a Quarentine markier on the INSIDE of the hatch. Desmond doesn't answer but asks how many of the LOSTers are sick. Locke says none.
Kate's escaping and an alarm goes off. Desmond orders Lock to punch in some verrrry familiar numbers into the antiquated computer. He tells Locke to hit "execute" and lock wants to know what this DOES before he hits Execute.
They hear Jack arriving.
Sawyer digs the bullet out of his own shoulder, and he notices that Jin is missing. Michael has a bunch of flashbacks about signing over custody of Walt. Sayer makes obervations about the boat that took Walt was a small one and probably was based on The Island.
The raft Michael and Sawyer are on is slowly falling to pieces, and we get Jaws POV shots. Sawyer seems one of the pontoons from the boat and decides to swim to it. More Jaws POV shots as it goes for a Sawyer Snack. Michael rouses himself to grab Sawyers gun and shoots the shark. Michael and Sawyer climb onto the pontoon. Morning comes with Sawyer awaking to find Michael in tears. Michael admit it's not Sawyer's fault. He shouldn't have brought Walt on the Raft O' Death. With the sunrise, Michael and Sawyer see that they are very close to the island. They paddle and/or swim in. As they make it to land, they hear Jin screaming in Korean. They look up and Jin is running out of the jungle screaming... in Korean. Michael and Sawyer are WTF? Jin is bloody and tied and when they get him to talk NOT in Korean all he says is an accented "Others! Others!" And they look up to see shadowy NIght of the Living Dead figures approaching... Black Out.
