From TVGuide.com:

GRIN AND BEAR IT?: Dotson Rader, who interviewed expectant parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes for Parade, reveals that "Holmes... seemed dazed, passive and vacant" during the sit-down. "She never stopped smiling... [even] as Cruise described how his father beat him." I'd say the New York Post sums it up best: "Creepy."

And in other Entertainment News:

EMINEM CAN'T MAKE FRIENDS: Eminem has filed for divorce from Kim Mathers, whom he remarried just this past Jan. 14 — four-plus years after they originally split and engaged in a heated October 2001 custody battle. The couple have a 10-year-old daughter together, Hailie, who's gotta be shaking her head over the whole sitch.

KEEP WONDER-ING: A prank posting on the JoBlo.com movie site spread like wildfire over the April Fools' weekend, leading many to pass along the "news" that Underworld 's Kate Beckinsale had landed the lead in Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman film. In actuality, Variety confirms, no one has yet been handed the golden lasso. So keep your chin up, Charisma!

Me: My advice would be -- don't hold your breath.

COURIC POKED BY POLL: Katie Couric may face an uphill battle as the just-christened anchor of CBS Evening News. In a poll conducted by TV Guide and the Associated Press, 49 percent say they prefer Couric as a morning-show cohost, while 29 percent say they'll prefer her in the evening. Couric, though, has the vote of no less than venerable news vet Walter Cronkite, who tells the New York Post, "I think she's highly capable and I'm absolutely delighted that she's come over to CBS." As for Couric's Today successor, Variety confirms that NBC is thisclose to announcing The View's Meredith Vieira.

Me: I have to admit... Katy Couric works my last nerve.

shipperx: (Lost - God does hate me)
I have few of my own from last night (other than I've really enjoyed most of this season. I think LOST has done a good job of keeping the roller-coaster ride going and being intriguing. But then I have a long history with mythology-based shows and know that they dole out answers slowly, and that more often than not, the solution isn't nearly as interesting as the mystery (see: X-Files, Buffy, etc). So, I'm happy as long as they keep the journey fun, and (for me) LOST has been.

Anyway, I'm posting TV Guide's thoughts on last night's lost since I don't have many thoughts of my own (because I spent most of last evening shopping at Macy's. I bought a pair of light gray summer weight trousers, two t-shirts--one brown with some Indian-like symbol in cream on the front and a marine teal "golf shirt", a short sleeve summer blouse--white with a blue/green paisley print, and a new Kenneth Cole bracelet to replace the one that I broke a few months ago.)
