Why is it that everything hits at once?

Since I had done an initial draft through my seasonal_spuffy story I thought that meant that I'd post it quickly.  Somehow, it has not turned out that way.  Between a killer deadline (with a bunch of overtime) at work and football season, I'm constantly running behind.  Yay, though, that around midnight last night I got through my revision of Chapter Two and sent it off to betas.  Hopefully I'll have it ready to post sometime this week or weekend.
