-- Well, that football game Saturday was way stressful (in the good way.  We won, after all.  It was just... stressful. Considering some of the passes that were thrown and amazingly caught my two thoughts are...

   1)   If I were a Texas A&M receiver I'd be pretty put-out that I'm not adequatly recognized.  Yes, Johnny Football has a great arm, but he's also pitching balls into a beehive of opposing team defenders, and the guy out jumping everyone and catching the ball deserves half of the credit!

   2)  I think Johnny Football must've made a pact with the devil.  Seriously, how do some of those things work out?  It's astounding.  Anyone else would be intercepted or sacked.  It's truly, truly uncanny!

Still, we won in the end (thank God we caught the on-side kick).  Roll Tide!

-- My home laptop is officially a PITA.  I've spent days now trying to get the anti-virus to work again.  It won't re-install.   I've tried everything. (though I'll try more tonight). I've run repeated scans, no viruses are found and no noticeable malware.  I've run anti-malware clearners and registry cleaners.  Everything seems to work... but Avast.   There must be something wrong somewhere.

Then I noticed last night that I have installed programs on it dating back to 2001.  It may be time for me to simply update to a new computer.

--  Re: the problem in my subdivision... the guy involved was standing in front of my house this morning.  Errrrr... yeah.  I KNOW! A lawyer has been engaged to handle this and the ARC have contacted the police re: the situation.

-- In case anyone wondered, yeah I got a warning at Buffyforums.  Don't really care as A) I'm generally annoyed with the world re: stress from above (which puts board fights in proper perspective).  B) I somehow doubt I'll bother with 10 anyway.  C) I have no regret at mocking you-know-who obliquely, passive aggressively, or otherwise. None.  Seriously, what's with her pretending she wasn't screaming for the destruction of character and fans not too long ago?  (Though ever notice that while she loves to dish she's one of the first to go whining about people being 'mean' to her?)  Not that she whined first.  ViR did... which, yeah, I roll my eyes at that guy too. Who is he to speak about passive-aggression?  That's sort of his entire posting style.

--  Watched the pilot of "Sleepy Hollow" last night.  Yes, the premise of the show is preposterous and the execution is pure crack.   Yes, it all got very, very crazy by the end.   I did like the female lead.  And, hell, teh crazy crack kind of works for me at the moment.  I'll give the show a chance to develop. Fringe got better as it went and you can see Fringe fingerprints on this one.   And teh stupid crazy crack was kind of fun.  (Don't know that the premise is sustainable though.)

Some of these photos are seriously cool.

Beautiful photos of ancient drowned cities

i09 has a review (or rather a play-by-play) of the pilot of Sleepy Hollow... and it's flipping hilarious!

Who cares if you watch the show, the hilarity of the recap is worth a read.
