Sleepy Hollow Review
Sep. 17th, 2013 06:04 pmi09 has a review (or rather a play-by-play) of the pilot of Sleepy Hollow... and it's flipping hilarious!
Who cares if you watch the show, the hilarity of the recap is worth a read.

Date: 2013-09-18 05:00 pm (UTC)It was entertaining, atmospheric, and very, very silly. Hey, that kind of works for me. (Plus, the male lead is cute and I really liked the female lead).

Date: 2013-09-18 03:41 am (UTC)I liked the pilot in all its bat-shit craziness, mostly because of the leads, who I also told my husband were the best genre leads I'd seen since Mulder/Duchovny and Scully/Anderson. Well, so far. They're the strongest reason for watching again (even though I loathed Mison's character in Parade's End).

I'm willing to embrace cheesy and weird as long as it entertains. :)

Date: 2013-09-18 05:20 pm (UTC)My fave bits:
...his wife has used the bird to summon him to the netherworld that holds her captive for coven reasons (she’s part of an ancient order dedicated to stopping this evil, because of course), and maybe to ask for a jacket or something, because her coven has pulled a costume prank on her...
Meanwhile, the people on the bench had a fender bender or something and came into the Sheriff’s office, and the rest of their lives will be haunted by questions about that preserved head in the pickle jar the Captain was talking about
Hah! :D
