Bahh! I Am Sheeple
Feb. 9th, 2009 10:01 pmGakked from everywhere.
1. Did you date someone from your school?
Briefly. Like for one semester one year.
2. Did you marry someone from your high school?
Bwhaha!... no. Not married.
3. Did you car pool to school?
To school? When I was under 16 I went to school with my next door neighbor who was a teacher. Over 16, no. I was perennially late. After school? Yeah. Mostly. Cheerleader practice was the last period, so there were usually groups of us who left school together.
4. What kind of car did you have? White 1984 Chevy Celebrity
5. What kind of car do you have now? Silver 2005 Chevy Equinox
6. It's Friday night...where are you? (then): (Fall) Football game and after game dance (Cheerleader so I always went to the game. JETS club member (Junior Engineering Technical Society) member and the JETs always ran the after game dances for fundraisers so I always had to work or clean-up after the dances. (Winter) Basketball games and dance (same reasonings)
7. It is Friday night...where are you? (now): Home. Probably watching something on Sci-Fi network.
8. What kind of job did you have in high school?
Didn't precisely have a job. My mom ran a Interior Design business so I pitched in there if needed. But, given it was a family business, parameters of my employment (such as it was) was extremely flexible.
9. What kind of job do you do now? Architect
10. Were you a party animal? Hell no.
11. Were you considered a flirt? Nope. Not at all.
12. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? None of those. I took piano lessons but had zero talent for it. I was a cheerleader instead (It was FUN, okay. And, unlike music, I was actually quite good at it. :)
13. Were you a nerd? Not really. Was a member of the Honor Society and Beta Club (essentially honor society) and the aforementioned Junior Engineering Technical Society, but I was sort of the slacker side of still making relatively good grades.
14. Did you get suspended or expelled? Dude... no. I my parents would have murdered me, and I was the antithesis of a rebel, anyway.
15. Can you sing the fight song?
For my univeristy? Sure. High school didn't have a fight song with words. I do still know the pom-pom routine to it, though (danced it about a bazillion times so that isn't all that surprising).
16. Who was/were your favorite teacher?
A.P. Biology/A.P. Chemistry teacher Mr. Johnson. He liked to teach via lectures rather than just reading the books and, quite honestly, was the toughest teacher I had in college or high school but he was quite knowledgeable and did more than actually teach science. He taught us how to take notes, how to stay organized, and how to write decent essay answers. Invaluable information for the years to come. Unfortunately, he died shortly after I graduated high school. It was a major loss for our small town school.
17. Where did you sit during lunch?
In the cafeteria. We were NOT allowed to go outside during a school day unless it was P.E. and there was no such thing as leaving campus to have lunch elsewhere (not that there was anything by a McDonalds or a Chick-De-Lite to choose from if we did leave school. I'm from a very small town.
18. What was your school's full name?
Monroe County High School
19. When did you graduate? 1989.
20. What was your school mascot?
Tigers (colors were blue and gold)
21. If you could go back and do it again, would you?
Erm... parts yes. Parts, oh HELL no.
22. Did you have fun at Prom?
Yeah. The guy I wanted to go (from a different school) chose not to say yes when I asked, so I asked a casual (very gay) friend to go as my date and we had a great time.
23. Do you still talk to the person you went to Prom with? No. Haven't seen or heard of him in years.
24. Are you planning on going to your next reunion? No. Didn't go to my last one either.
25. Do you still talk to people from school? Occasionally. But rarely people from my year. It was a small school and most of my friends were older, some of whom probably qualify as "family friends" meaning my parents are friends with their parents, that sort of thing. So I more or less know where a hand full of them are. And I used to keep fairly close track with my high school best friend who was my roommate in college a couple of years, but since the death of her younger sister, I haven't heard from her much. The last time I saw her was after the funeral for her sister. It was terribly sad. Every Christmas I still think about contacting her, though. I really should.
