Thursday: The Night of Too Much TV
Sep. 23rd, 2010 09:40 pmFringe: Olivia broke my heart when she went into the bathroom stall to cry and when she realized that she was stuck on the other side. It really is fucking evil to mess with someone's head the way that Olivia's is being messed with. First they try to convince her she's crazy then try to convince that she's really someone else, complete with fake memories. I don't buy that she's completely taken over, though. Not to the extent it looks like at the end. Her true self will re-exert itself, that's if she isn't faking the extent to which she's been taken over so as to find out why. Either way... poor Olivia. And in the cherry on top of why to feel sorry for her, Alt_Olivia is apparently romantically involved with Peter. Ouch! Did I mention poor Olivia? She really is being screwed.
The Vampire Diaries: I'm feeling for Caroline as well. She really is going to have to pull a True Blood Jessica on this one and cause a break-up. As a general rule, nearly killing your boyfriend doesn't go over so well. Speaking of, killing in general doesn't go over so well. TVD characters have a way of not paying much attention to the death of redshirts. Shouldn't Caroline be a bit more out of public until she's learned some control over her actions? On the werewolf front, the wolf bite being fatal to vampires seems to work pretty well (though, werewolves -- other than Being Human's George -- are still mostly boring) That said, aren't werewolf bites kind of toxic to humans as well? It doesn't kill them, but doesn't it turn them into werewolves? Or are they going with werewolfism is genetic here?
Big Bang Theory: No deep thoughts just... LOL!
Being Erica: A few days late but I finally got around to watching. So the usual guesses were only half-right. She's on phase II of becoming a 'doctor' and now is in group therapy. That makes sense for me as I think last season's finale was supposed to work if it had been the end of the series but they created this because they at least have this season. Anyway, I'm hoping that the Irish guy isn't going to be a new love interest because at the moment, I'm not seeing the chemistry (although he looks a heck of a lot like the guy who played Lindsey on "Angel"). At any rate, I'm liking the storyline with Erica and Julianne starting their business. I used to hate Julianne, but I like the Erica/Julianne working together. Go figure. And I'm intrigued by what may be going on with Dr. Tom.
