BSG Finale

Well... that was a highly unusual finale. I kept expecting the last third to be a really bad dream. And why, exactly, does one year into the future mean really, really bad hair and mustaches? I mean, Lee hair? YIKES! And Adama's mustache? Yuck.

So, Baltar fucked up (as expected) and now the Cylons have them all. I figured that Sharon/Starbuck's explanation when the people were pinned down on Caprica foreshadowed a long con. Still, I wasn't expecting the long con to play out TONIGHT. (And I question, if at 59,000 +/- they didn't have a viable genetic base to continue the human race, how do they with 30,000 +/-?) Guess this fall will be all post apocalyptic (that is MORE post-apocalyptic. A different kind of post apocalyptic, though.)

I'll have more of a thoughtful reaction later. I bet it'll spawn tons of fanfic (if I cared about BSG fanfic, which I really don't. Still, I always find this sort of premise interesting and bet it shows up in fanfic a lot.)

Anyway, I might have a bigger reaction later. For now... that was very unusual.
