shipperx*sigh* FInally got around to booking a vacation, and come to find out between the time of finding a place to rent at the beach, actually scheduling the time off to go, and calling back to actually book it, the damn place rented!!
So now, I either pay $200 more to book at an earlier time (before the rates go down mid-September) and reschedule my time off, or book at a later (suckier for me because it coincides with the Alabama/Arkansas game) time when I didn't want to go (because, honestly, a game day is wasted on vacation. It winds up as a day in front of the tv and I can do THAT at home, thank you very much), or I begin searching again for another place (and no-doubt have to reschedule my time off in that case too.)
This, plus it's time to re-up NCARB but the website is buggy and has lost my log-in. Look, architects pay NCARB over $200 a year to do... something. Beats the hell out of me what, because most of what I've gotten is lost records and double billing. The only overt thing that they do... is keep our name on a list so that if we ever change states, we have reciprocal registration. So, you know, if I ever move cross country, I can finally use what I've been paying a yearly fee for... or something.
Since they're being paid for what amounts to keeping my name on a list, the least they could do is not screw up all. the. time.
(And I haven't even bothered to look up how short I am on continuing education credits for the year because that'll depress me too).
Some days suck.
