Weekend Update

shipperxSplitting the post in two because of reasons I'll explain later.
The hike Friday while lovely (the colors on the trees for fall was quite lovely and it was perfect warm weather) gave way to a somewhat gray Saturday. Frankenstorm is far from us but the cold front that fed it swept through and the Saturday night game was freaking COLD! Temperature-wise it was only 47 degrees but with the wind (and there were 30mph gusts) it was FREAKING COLD! And then there was the fact that the game didn't start until 7:30, which meant that I didn't make it home until 2am. *sigh*
We won -- Roll Tide! But, damn, 2am is late.
That also meant that my tuckered puppy from the long hike Friday had 8 uninterrupted hours to nap while I was gone... so, yeah, she was up at the crack of dawn wanting a walk. I really wasn't up for a walk. Did take her to Starbucks (under the theory that she could people watch and that preventing boredom was a good replacement for a walk.) I did take her for a walk in the afternoon. The weather had improved by then and the sun out again.
* Watched 21 Jump Street the other night. I thought it was pretty funny.
* I wasn't entirely happy with this week's Fringe episode. I can see where they think it ups the emotion of the arc, but still. I didn't find it necessary.
* On Once Upon a Time, I enjoyed the reveal of Dr. Whale's identity more than I had thought I would when people were guessing his identity. Dr. Whale's identity was the one that I didn't want him to have, but considering that, I think they handled it somewhat better than I had anticipated. I have enjoyed what they're doing with Regina.
