Writercon

I haven't signed up yet, but I have finally cleared up my schedule so that I can sign up for Writercon. Now the question is... are people I know going to be there? I know Barb was discussing going. Anyone else?

I tend to be kind of reluctant about these sorts of things so I generally need a bit of a push. So anyone on my friends list heading to this event? Barb? Anyone?

I would really love to go, but I'm still not sure I'm going to be able to make it. I really enjoyed the last one, even though I don't actually write fanfic, myself.

I've vacillated a great deal (and held off signing up because of other things in the way) but now that the other situation has gone bye-bye, I actually have the time and the con is so close that it's so very tempting...

One of the reasons it's just so darn tempting for me is that it's not even a two hour drive for me to go there. (Not counting time zone differences).

Then you should definitely go! PIck just one day to attend if you don't want to make a big committment and want to give yourself the option of bowing out if you're bored or just not into the scene. Saturday is probably the best bet - at least you'll have the option of coming back another day if you end up having a really good time.

I'll be there! In fact, since I live in the Atlanta area, I'm offering accommodations on a first-come, first-served basis to my flist! So if you wanna be there but need to save some money, let me know!

It's really not a money issue though. I'm probably better off in that regard because I wouldn't have to book a flight. It's less than a two hour drive from my house. Part of the reason it's so tempting is that it's so close.
