shipperxIt's been a while since I posted. Just lazy I guess.
* We came in second at the pumpkin contest. Lost by 1 vote.
* The Alabama/LSU game was awesome. It was cold and rainy as hell. And due to traffic we didn't make it home until 3am, but that game went so much better than expected! We really shut Fournette and LSU down. Woot! (Fingers crossed for this weekend against Mississippi State)
* Still shopping for clothes to events for my nephew's wedding. I never realized just how much of a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal I am until my nephew's fiancé decided to have multiple showers plus four days of destination wedding events (last left to shop for is the 'Tea' which the bride dreamily describes as a cross between British high tea and Traditional Southern. She wants hats! (Hats!!!). I looked up the venue for that one and it's a white columned plantation house. No kidding.
Thus far I have bought an evening gown (wedding) a cocktail dress (rehearsal dinner) and two dresses. That's compared to the ONE dress I've owned for the last ten years. I draw the line at a hat, though. (However after freezing at the game last week, I broke down and bought a faux fur stole for the wedding --unlike everyone else in the wedding party I refuse to pay what it costs to buy vintage fur).
And I've been looking at YouTube tutorials on make-up and hair. Never knew so many up-dos depended upon multiple clear hair elastics or 'texturizing' with spray shampoo. Nor did I realize that before you apply eyeshadow you 'prime' your eyes using consealor.
I suppose that's because I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt type. Seriously, I'm wearing jeans and a flannel shirt right now.
* TV wise I'm spoiled (but haven't watched) the Downton Series finale and I'm irked. If this isn't rectified in the Christmas Special it goes down along side HIMYM as one of the most dissatisfying conclusions ever.
* I am enjoying whack job King Arthur on Once Upon A Time, though.
