From Zap2it regarding sexual harrassing, scary woman Marti Noxon

Quote:
ABC Welcomes 'Buffy' Scribe to the Family
Noxon will executive produce pilot 'Brothers & Sisters'
April 13 2006

LOS ANGELES -- Marti Noxon, a former writer and executive producer of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," is setting down stakes at a new home.

Noxon, who's currently serving as a consulting producer on FOX's "Prison Break," has signed a two-year deal with Touchstone TV. As part of the agreement, she'll become an executive producer of ABC's drama pilot "Brothers & Sisters," the showbiz trade papers report.

Should "Brothers & Sisters," a family soap starring Calista Flockhart ("Ally McBeal"), Rachel Griffiths ("Six Feet Under") and Balthazar Getty ("Alias"), make it onto ABC's schedule next season, Noxon would become its showrunner. Writer Jon Robin Baitz and director Ken Olin are also executive producers.

Baitz, a playwright ("The Substance of Fire"), has written episodes of "Alias" and "The West Wing" but hasn't had experience running a series. Noxon has, having served as showrunner on "Buffy" and the short-lived FOX show "Point Pleasant," which she created.

She's also written for "Buffy" spinoff "Angel" and created "Still Life," which FOX picked up in 2003 but never aired.

Her new deal also calls for Noxon to create other projects for Touchstone. Citing a case of "vampire fatigue," she says she'll be sticking to reality-based scripts for the time being.

Well, there's a conglomeration of people I'd rather shoot myself than watch. Good Lord. I hope ABC realizes this series has "dog" written all over it.

And who the hell keeps giving Noxious jobs anyway? Her photo collection of folks in bed with dead women/live boys must be fearsome indeed.

Well, it seems to me that if one show can simultaneously employ that many people who you never want to see again, you should hope it keeps them busy for years :)

Well, horrifying though it may be, you point out a legitimate advantage. :)

Dude, seriously!

My thoughts were something along the line of "ABC, dudes! You've created a monster! Unmake it! Unmake it!"

And yes, Noxious must have a stash of incriminating photos stashed in a safe deposit box somewhere, because people continuing to hire her to exec produce boggles the mind.

*snicker*

I've long since made a mental note to avoid anything for which Suicide Girl is writer, producer, showrunner or go-fer. In my little world, I call this "Quality Control."

Wise move.

And the concept of a suicidal Ally McBeal? Guh! ::shudder::

Well thank goodness for "vampire fatigue" if that means she never, ever goes near any more Joss work. However the fact that people keep hiring her at all makes me want to bang my head on the desk - really hard.

Okay, first, ICON LOVE! That's the cutest little bunny!

And, yeah, I gotta go with queenofattolia's theory that Noxon has incriminating blackmail photos somewhere.

That's the work of [livejournal.com profile] cheesygirl and is up for grabs.
That woman must have photos of everyone in Hollywood.

Wow, this is the Peter principle raised to just dizzying heights.

But do notice Fox seems to have shown her the door.

Yeah, but when did ABC become more stupid than FOX?

NBC I could buy, however.

True, a few years ago I pretty much forgot ABC existed, and now Boston Legal, Lost, Grey's Anatomy are must see. They don't do much for me, but their new reality Dance with the Stars seem to hit it out of the park.

And the thing is, what they need to work on is their sitcoms. Marti just doesn't strike me as a sitcom girl.

What do you mean? Sucidal angst and abuse isn't funny? Stick in the mud.

Don't we all?

Hope Disney owned NBC likes men in chains and suicidal women. Oh god, suicidal Ally McBeal? The horror!

Well, that's one mercy.
