Because I've been working hellish hours this last week or so, I was extremely tired yesterday... which means I was also extremely lazy.   That being the case, and because I was bored last night, I ended up watching vids on YouTube (it's my new addiction).  Thought I'd rec a few vids while trying out LJ's new embeded video function (and it looks like it might embed large, try reducing the size for clarity).

OK, how'd you do it? I just tried to embed using YouTube's code, and it didn't work.

I didn't use the embed code.

Go to the online version of LJ. Go to "Update" Use the "rich text" version and there's this little icon of a movie reel. All you have to do is past the regular URL into it and LJ embeds it.

There actually is a way... unfortunately it involves firefox and won't play on most media players so it seems pretty much useless to bother going to the trouble of downloading.
