I've never filled out Weather Pixie and had it come out with a bikini before (does it think that anyone who lives in this heat should walk around mostly naked?). Damn it's hot. Heat Index is 100 (though, I suppose I should be grateful it's not the 106 that was predicted) and it's nearly 40% humidity. That's a sauna, right?

The WeatherPixie

ETA: The heat index is now up to 103. ::sigh::

But you are in Atlanta. It is suppose to be hot in Atlanta. Because it never gets that cold in Atlanta. I am in Wisconsin. We had a week last winter that our high was one below zero. It doesn't seem fair to have go through both.

Actually, I'm in Birmingham, but I'll be in Atlanta on Friday. :)

Although you do have a point about the South and heat. I was reading something today in a LJ from someone in England talking about going some place with air conditioning. In the South, air conditioning is ubiquitous. Mine has been set on 'cool' since March.

Oh cute!! I just updated my LJ profile with Weather Pixie instead of the Weather Underground feed...

I probably shouldn't mention that it's currently 65 degrees here (which was the high for the day).

It's 106 here; the humidity is on the low side, but it's just high enough to make it ickier than normal. Fortunately, that's way down from the 115-ish we were having last week.

There's supposed to be rain this week. I'll believe it when I see it.

That's the way we are at the moment. We haven't seen significant rain since May (though we did have a 15 minute downfall Sunday). The really irritating thing is, that it's been gray and cloudy plenty of times (holding in the heat oppressively) it just won't actually RAIN.

We had one major rainstorm, overnight on the 4th, and that's been it for a "monsoon season" so far this year. It is, at least, raining all around the valley - Tucson actually got some serious rainfall.

Phoenix gets the odd storm these days but I think last year the entire year's rainfall came in January, and that was it... (Or pretty close, anyway!)

LOL...sorry have to laugh. At only 40% humidity that qualifies as a very nice day here.

It's about 70F here today and I have the blanket over me and the fire roaring!

In summer we get temps ranging between about 95F and 115F and humidity in the 80% range (and most Queensland houses don't have aircon)

Heh. Well, if you look now, it's 70% humidity. :)

They never give us the heat index here, just the heat. *g*

That's because you live in an oven rather than a sauna. :)
