shipperx: (Farscape - I Just Want to Save me)

A little closer to finishing the building from hell. We printed a checkset today and I finally, finally, finally finished all of the building sections. I have to do redlines tomorrow and we'll have to print again, but with luck I won't have to work this weekend. I SO need the rest. I feel brain fried (not to mention exhausted.)

I haven't had time to write in forever. I haven't had time to read in forever. And I haven't watched much in the way of TV recently either. I feel dog tired and dead dull and looking forward to the time when it's possible to have idle diversions and hobbies again. I'm so ready to finish this job (and not at all ready to begin thinking about the next -- just as large-- job which comes after.)

Sorry to read that you're so snowed under. I hope things will improve soon.

Thanks. We sent the monster to the printers at noon today (and haven't begun the equal sized monster yet), so today I actually left work befor 6pm. First time I've done that since July!

Me too! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for better (& easier) projects to come your way, *soon*!

Heh. The curse of a successful firm is that they keep throwing huge projects at us. We've known all along that when we got this monster of a set out the door that there's another project of equal size that has to be done by the end of this month

Still, we sent this monster to the printers today at lunch, so wheee! The set turned out to be 280 pages. That's 280 sheets of 36"x48" paper covered in drawings. I kid you not, I cannot physically lift the entire set of plans.

OMG... It sounds excruciating! How many of you worked on those 280 pages, and for how long?

(OT -- forgot to tell you that I really like your island... where is it, do you know?)

Well, mostly it's been myself, Peter, and Robert. 70% of it. Teale is our interior designer so she did the interiors pages. And the last week we've had all of the people in the back room (4 more people) working with us, plus two of the bosses pitching in whenever they had time.)

And, I believe that the island is near Thailand. I don't really remember, just that it was in the South Pacific.
