Girl in the Fireplace has made the TWOP recapper completely lose his mind! Not only is this four times longer than any other show's recaplet, but am I right in thinking that it makes no sense whatsoever?! (not the episode-- which I quite liked -- but the TWOP recaplet. It's just gibberish!)

The Girl in the Fireplace was my favorite episode last season and the exact moment I fell in lurve with Ten. Then watching it last night again I looked it up and it was written by the same writer who gave us the previous season's The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances - the only thing I could think of the author having a wacky for is getting the Doctor to dance.

The recaplet is pretty much gibberish. You feel like asking, "So... you didn't like it beecause it's Dr. Who, or you did because it's not?"

I know! Reading that recap, it's impossible to tell whether he liked it or hated it. What's more, there's no way in hell to tell what the plot of the ep was at all!

I can see why I've always avoided TWOP (most people I knew who mentioned it at all did not make it sound like a place I'd enjoy...).

I didn't like that episode much - but then that's not surprising. I really can't stand David Tennant.

I kind of enjoyed the episode (though I noticed some major plot holes in it.) Still, I rather liked it.

I loved that episode, my favourite of season 2!

I think Jacob may have had issues with the UK thread really hating it, calling it Hurl In The Fireplace

I never finished downloading Season 2 because I was only about half-way through the season when Sci-Fi announced that it would run it this fall. Knowing that, I decided I would simply wait. So I actually haven't seen most of the season.

I don't know why that episode gets people so het up. It was a decent episode, neither brilliant nor horrible. And it has a horsie. Who doesn't like horsies?

That's what I thought. I thought there was much that was enjoyable about it, but I know if I was being critical, there were also some gaping plot holes in it. I just enjoyed it enough to not look too harshly on it.

Wow, you still read TWOP recaps? I only do for TAR, and not those much even anymore. They're just far too full of themselves

Okay, here's where I confess. I knew that "Girl in the Fireplace" was a somewhat controversial episode. I went to TWOP in search of wank. I was disappointed, though. Instead of wank, I found babbling gibberish!

Well, I think he liked it..

Because he gave it an "A" or something. I don't really read the recaps now that Charmed is gone. I loved it when the whole recaplet was about Maggot-Neck and a long prayer for the cancellation of the cooter tat. Only those who truly hate a show can have that level of commitment, plus there was a whole "poor sucker has to recap" bit that just was precious.

Also, I though the twist at the end was nifty, but Ten falling for Mdme. de Pompadour? Can we say cliche? Although, anything to make Rose feel like Shit is okay by me. I hate her. I hate her! I HATE HER!

Which is why I won't watch this season on Skiffy. Once, illegally downloaded was plenty enough.

Qwll, I think Mdm Pompadour could fall into the area of Mary Sue. On the other hand, I see how this episode fits with the plan of the season arc.

And I must confess that the reason I went to TWOP was to see whether or not he flipped because Girl in the Fireplace was somewhat controversial for Doctor/Rose shippers. I was hoping for either a decent review or real wanking, instead I got gibberish!

I'm a whore, I go for Doctor/anyone even Doctor/Tardis. I figured he just does with it every companion, except Adric, Susan and Ace.

Well, like Jack, I consider the Doctor to be potentially omnisexual. :)
