Veronica Mars Finale
May. 22nd, 2007 09:09 pmSo, first off, I've always heard that "Veronica Mars is smart and hip and wonderful and everyone should love this series." However, to be honest, I've never seen the overwhelming awesomeness. I respect many people who have loved the series, but I've always been on the "eh. Really don't see what's so all-fired great" end of the spectrum.
Anyway, series finale tonight and... is that all? Even as a non-fan who watched every now and then, that seemed to be sort of an open-ended ending that didn't leave much in the way of gratification.
I'm not looking down. I know I enjoy some shows that are decidedly dippy and the reasoning behind the love is 'just cause'. I realize that I live in a glass house and won't throw stones. Condolences to the people who are mourning the loss of the show. Look at it this way, sometimes fanfic can deliver more of what you want. (Works for me with the Buffy fandom).
