* It's freaking HOT! Had to go out to field measure a job today, so I spent a good chunk of the day outside with temps in the high 90s up to 100. It's HOT!

* A friend called this morning with the rumor that the hellhole where I used to work may be closing up shop and dying at the end of this month. While I feel bad for a few people who have remained stuck working in the hell hole, my primary reaction (especially for the two ex-bosses) has been to revel in the shadenfreude.

* I simply do not understand the show Hell's Kitchen. It's just Gordon Ramsey behaving like a jackass. Top Chef is more interesting, and The Food Network's "Next Food Network Star" is infinitely more pleasant. Hell's Kitchen seem to mostly be about watching people being browbeaten by an asshole.

* Had to roll my eyes and laugh at Paris Hilton apparently growing closer to God in her days hours in jail. Bwha! Yeah, Paris, salvaging an image is just that easy (if she even has an image... I mean, other than the obvious one. Wish she'd just go away.)

* Fandom is crazy. Fandom wars are crazy. Watching people throw stones is funny.

* Makes me feel weird to see posts then to see them disappear. Makes me paranoid.

When I read that Paris had "found God" in the slammer, my first thought (after "Please stop making my religion look like the flavor of the week") was in the form of a headline:

Paris Finds God; God Runs Screaming In The Other Direction.

No problem. It's just always a weird sensation when you read something then it's gone and you wonder whether you imagined its existence. :)

There's one person on my flist who does that all the time. And sometimes I'll add posts to my memories and won't read be able to read them till the weekend, and when I go to read them, they're gone. Makes me sad.
