I need help.

Anyone know of a fic which nails AtS's Lindsey's voice and POV? Nothing too long, but something that has the characterization right, preferably one that deals with events in AtS Season 5.

I knew you were a big Lindsey fan. Any interesting, obscure details you know about the character? He's going to have a large role to play in a fic I'm writing, but it's actually the first time I've written him so I don't feel I have "know" him as well as I do some of the other characters.

They never really gave us any huge glimpses into Lindsey's past, which makes it all pretty much up to your imagination.

This is going to be my personal opinions on Lindsey and stuff that was actually mentioned in the series.

We know from his talk with Angel in 'Blind Date', that he grew up dirt poor, that he lost a couple of siblings to flu before he turned 7, before they died, there were six kids splitting a room. His daddy lost the house, the bank took it, which is probably why Lindsey wanted money and power so he'd never end up like his father. The way Lindsey talked about him, you could tell part of him hated his father.

Holland hand-picked him from college to work for Wolfram and Hart. He was an excellent lawyer, Wolfram and Hart's 'Golden Boy'.

The line Lindsey couldn't cross was helping someone murder children, which might have to do with him more than likely raising his own siblings while his parents were either out of the picture or just working.

Holland knew that Lindsey planned on helping Angel save the blind kids and didn't have him killed.

He knew Lorne before Angel did and used to play at Caritas all the time before Angel cut his hand off.

The new hand he got was from a person he knew when he worked in the mail room. It's an 'evil' hand. And every time he looked at it, he knew it wasn't his and who it came from.

He can sing and when he does, he loses himself completely to the music and everything else fades into the background.

He probably loved Darla and would have done anything for her, even died.

While he loved Darla, it was Angel who he became obsessed with to the point where there are some serious UST scenes between the two. Heck, Darla even told him that it wasn't her he wanted to screw.

Lindsey and Lilah had to have had some kind of a relationship at some point because you don't fight like they do otherwise. He and Lilah are th same height, but her heels make her just tall enough to look down at him and he hates that. He saved Lilah's life before he left LA and grabbed her ass on the way out the door.

He drives an old '56 pickup that looks like it's held together with rust and duct tape, but it still ran over Angel without a problem.

He's so pissed at Angel during 'Epiphany' that he beats the hell out of him with a sledgehammer one-handed.

We don't really know why he came back to LA in season 5 because they never discussed it. He came back with a lot of muscles, magical ink in his skin to keep him hidden from the Senior Partners, and he took on the name 'Doyle'.

Lindsey knew Eve. Don't know where or how he would have come into contact with a liaison of the Senior Partners, but she was as in love with him as he used to be with Darla.

He can handle a sword very well. (Something Christian Kane can actually do for real btw)

He had the chance to kill Angel and didn't take it.

Got sent to one of the firm's holding dimensions where he was tortured until Angel 'rescued' him.

Died unarmed with Angel's name on his lips, murdered by someone he thought was his friend.
