Neil Gaiman short story "A Study in Emerald" free at audible.com

ETA:  And now, having listened to it, it seems an awful lot like fanfic (which isn't an insult, as I really enjoy fanfic) but it really does seem like Sherlock Holmes and Watson find themselves in an alternate universe where Dracula is real (and advertises!) and the world is run by Illyria's "Old Ones" from "Three Deep"  (or, more accurately, run by Cthulhu).

Is he reading it?

I read it a couple of years ago in the Shadows Over Baker Street anthology and was thoroughly creeped out by it, especially by the Jack the Ripper ad. Victoria/Gloriana didn't do much for me either. Ew. Then again, Lovecraft always gives me the willies, histrionic as it is.

Yeah, it's Gaiman reading it. He also reads Audible's version of Neverwhere and Stardust. I don't know, but I don't think he reads the Audible version of American Gods. I keep waiting for Audible to get Good Omens. I'd love to have that one on Mp3.

And I think my favorite was Dracula's ad for "Exsanguinations done right."
