JM interview at TVGuide.com

So, I gather at some point he's spoken to Fury.  Quote from the interview:

TV Guide: Is that one of the reasons you like doing sci-fi — hard work and lots of sweating?
Marsters: One of the reasons. But you know, some of the writers from Buffy [the Vampire Slayer] are on the best shows around — Grey's Anatomy, 24 you name it. And they all have the same complaint: "This is great, but I just want to have a big demon come out of a rift hole and suck someone in to some interesting universe." I'm, "You're on 24, man. There's nuclear war at any time!" And he's, "Yeah, it's boring. I'm stuck to reality!"

I read the interview. The things James says. This is the first I've heard about him working in a recycling plant and getting his friends to do the same when he was a kid. Ditto a first time hearing that when he starred in Godspel girls used to burst in on him in the bathroom in hopes of getting an eyeful. It was a miner revelation to learn that when he played Spike he was hardly a stranger to being lusted after by women.

You know, he's always referring to himself as having been a geek as a kid, and maybe he did go through a geeky stage (before, as he has put it, he discovered rock & roll (or does he say punk? - can't remember). But most of his reminiscences suggest he was a natural leader and sexually attractive to women from an early age. Kind of makes his occasionally undeniable insecurities and appreciativeness of the attention and adoration women have lavished upon him even more endearing.

"Everyone said that I was really scary. They kind of put my hair in that shape and put me in the costume and the director came into my trailer and said, "Oh, my god, you look just like Ted Bundy." Eff off! I don't want to hear that"

I cant wait to see his take on Ted Bundy however short the cameo is in The Capture of the Green River Killer.
James is very busy boy of late
