So, I gather at some point he's spoken to Fury. Quote from the interview:
TV Guide: Is that one of the reasons you like doing sci-fi — hard work and lots of sweating?
Marsters: One of the reasons. But you know, some of the writers from Buffy [the Vampire Slayer] are on the best shows around — Grey's Anatomy, 24 — you name it. And they all have the same complaint: "This is great, but I just want to have a big demon come out of a rift hole and suck someone in to some interesting universe." I'm, "You're on 24, man. There's nuclear war at any time!" And he's, "Yeah, it's boring. I'm stuck to reality!"

Date: 2008-01-30 08:31 pm (UTC)You know, he's always referring to himself as having been a geek as a kid, and maybe he did go through a geeky stage (before, as he has put it, he discovered rock & roll (or does he say punk? - can't remember). But most of his reminiscences suggest he was a natural leader and sexually attractive to women from an early age. Kind of makes his occasionally undeniable insecurities and appreciativeness of the attention and adoration women have lavished upon him even more endearing.
