Had a day off (Yay! Needed it.) Hit the nursery for a little spring planting. Bought:

* Mexican Heather to go beneath my crepe myrtle in the front. (Wish this stuff was perennial around here. I buy it every year.)

* A Sonset Lantana to go in the front bed.

* New Guinea Impatiens to go beneath the River Birch in the back yard.

* A red Knock Out rose to go in back .
Double Knock Out Rose

* A double pink Knock Out rose to take the place of the Abraham Darby that looks like it bit the dust during the drought watering ban.

Also clicked a link for Angel:AtF and found a couple of someones complaining about Spike, the existence of Spike, Spike stealing women who 'rightfully' belong to other men, etc.  Same old stuff... and I found that it still bothers me.   Go figure.

Oh well, I enjoy the prospect of Spike comics. :)

Pretty flowers.

And the Spike haters will never go away. Putzes.

Dammit, I really need to read those comics.

Spike: After the Fall hasn't come out yet. It's sort of taking place after "Not Fade Away" and prior to Angel: After the fall.

One complaint I read was that they thought that AtF was handling Spike badly (I guess because of the whole "Playboy Mansion" bit) but, honestly, I've thought they've handled him relatively well.

Eh. Sometimes I think fandom is split between people who want Spike canonized, and people who want him shot out of a canon...

I wish I had enough sun for roses but I have one of those super-shady southern yard so caladiums and impatiens for me!

But I bet you have trees that you didn't plant. Every tree that I have is one I had to plant (although, I'm finally developing some actual shade!)

Yeah, my trees were probably planted around 1910.

Me too. I've just read a Spike hater's comment (maybe it's the same one) and I feel kind of upset about it, perhaps because it was quite unexpected. I can't believe that these people are still at it :-(

We have a lantana like that! (Ours is pink and yellow flowers, though.) Actually, we have lots of lantanas like that, or would if I didn't keep mowing them down. The damn thing could live through a nuclear explosion, I swear!
