I probably shouldn't find this funny, but when I read this TVGuide interview with Joss Whedon I couldn't help but laugh when I ran across this quote (re: Dollhouse):

"There were a few clarity issues for some viewers. There were also some slight issues with tone — I was in a dark, noir kind of place..."

Say, whut?

Joss, I hope you know you're more than a tad predictable.

Like the end of BtVS, and the end of Angel, and Dr. Horrible. Seems like Joss has more of a dark side than Darth Vader.

You've clearly forgotten that BtVS had a 'happy ending'. Remember? Joss told us that if the core four survived it was a 'happy ending'.
