Okay, a day late but I caught the premiere. Well, it's not BtVS. I'm willing to give the series a shot to see where it develops. The pilot isn't awful but it wasn't all that great either. The southern accents were atrocious, for one thing. It was a bit Skinemax After Dark as well. But, I'll see where it goes.

I'm with you. Even after being alerted to the heavyhanded metaphorical stuff, I found it really irritating. But Bill's sexy and I'm shallow, so I'll hang in for a while.

I thought the brother was awfully cavalier about his f*** buddy winding up dead as well.

And really, Riley pre-dates fangbangers.

But, sometimes series take a while to gel so I'm giving it some time to see where it goes.

Bad southern accents are my pet peeve. The more southern gothic they're going for, the worse they get.
