Real Time Comments on AtS (spoilers beyond "Why We Fight"

1) Knox dropped the ball, huh? Already dropping the anvils.
2) You know, I think DB has lost some weight.
3) Heh! I think 1943 Angel has Spike's old chair.
4) So...uh... how do these guys know that Angel is SOULED? Where did they get *that* kind of info? It's not like the Watchers had it. Giles didn't know it on BtVS when they pulled Angel's file.
5) Gee, I was expecting Mr. Fury to be more intimidating.
6) Boy, they're playing up the screaming in the background.
7) Short, fat guy looks like Sam (LOTR)
8) Gee, Angel... the homing vampire (and he doesn't even have the homing coat). Exactly, how did he find that sub in that deep, deep ocean? (heh)
9) Heh! They DID chain him up and drop Angel in!
10) Okay, again I ask -- how did Spike's hair become BLACK? He was dying his hair in 1943??
11) Spike's story of being captured was actually kind of funny.
12) Prince of Lies looks like "Shadow of a Vampire" meets Nosferatu.
13) Sigh. Even evil Spike gets insulted "Weaker vampires" (Did like "he likes to pretend to be the boss."
14) Heil Hitler? Funny, comes off as if he's calling Angel a dictator... well, actually he is.
15) Okay, how exactly does one become a Nosferatu? Is Prince of Lies supposed to be that old, or just... I don't know, mutated?
16) Angel really won't kill Spike. He's even defending not killing Spike (and I'm really doubtful of his explanation. I don't see how Angel can think that Spike is particularly helpful about bringing the sub in. He just doesn't want to kill Spike.)
17) Noticed that Angel didn't answer about whether he had cared in 1943.
18) Boy, they sure made Spike "second" in the 1943 dynamic, like he's used to taking orders from Angel.
19) Guess the Nosferatu is just that old.
20) So Angel speaks German? (Eyeroll) Sick. And. Damn. Tired. Of. Spike. Being. Played. As. DUMB!
21) The Americans wouldn't experiment on Spike? Oh.. yeah, right.

24) Okay, did soldier boy volunteer to be vamped? It sorta sounded that way. Guess he just didn't understand the whole "soulless" thing.
25) So we're back to the whole "mission" thing. It's the Whedonverse. It's always about the mission.
26) Okay, so is the question about idividual versus the the masses?
27) Not really sure what they're saying with Lawson. A lot of questions, but no really good answer.
28) And, again, with the mission. DO think it's anvilicious about rather being dead than...er.. Fred (or Ilyria as the case may be).
29) And... most of the trailer is Spike (again. You wouldn't think he was just in one scene in the entire episode). The Spike/Muppet fight does look funny though.

This gives me yet another missing piece of the puzzle. I've only read the wildfeed, but it was enough to irritate me no end at how meekly Spike seems to follow Angel's orders, as if he's really intimidated by him (not the impression I was left with after FFL), not to mention that he gets called stupid yet again, even if it's not Angel that does it. So, what happened to make him this way? We don't know and probably never will.
