Oh look. Heroes does "The Initiative." Not a plot I would have stolen. I'm just sayin'...

Burn it down, boys! Burn it down and salt the earth!

People like Restless, but I do have a soft spot for Primeval.

I remember at the time it aired I watched it thinking that it was the show admitting that they knew that the plot had gone off the rails. :)

I think the cupboard is getting kind of bare in terms of plots Heroes hasn't already stolen.

They could try:
Shawshank Redemption
Beethoven
Brazil
Walk the Line

I can keep going.... ;)

Galaxy Quest
Back To The Future III
Buckeroo Bonzai
The Last Starfighter..

I was thinking the goofier the better. Like, Flipper. Claire finds a dolphin in Odessa. She nurses it back to health much to HRG's concern. The dolphin ends up being SYLAR.

Or Shawshank. Mohinder and Matt are jailed for crimes they didn't commit. Matt reads minds and manipulates the warden while Mohinder uses a syringe to scrape away at the walls of the cell. Together they escape during a solar eclipse and run off to Mexico to refinish boats.

Or something.

Heroes has plots?

Are you sure? ;)

Well, it embarks on borrowing plots pretty regularly. Doesn't mean they go anywhere. "Hey - let's have Syler fix watches - it'll be just like Watchmen!"

I know that they're bringing back one of the Season 1 producers to fix this mess... but I honestly don't know that it's possible to bring back the original interest when it's wandered for two seasons.

Not to mention the total WTF moment I had in the open promo when Cordy, I mean Nicky/Jessica/Tracy? did the whole white-dress-ascension thing.

It sort of feels like Heroes specializes in scavenging sci-fi corpses.

The last Heroes I watched (with one eye because it was so boring) was "Mohinder Turns Into Seth Brundle." Bleh. I stopped even the cursory viewing then.

Really, the whole show boils down to "I've lost my powers! I've regained my powers! I've lost them again! I'm good! No, I'm evil! Wait, I'm good! It's the past! It's the future! The past! Let's steal scifi plots/devices/motifs beyond X-Men, which we've utterly exhausted!" And so on.

I deprogrammed it from the DVR several weeks ago, but they sucked me into that episode by killing off Veronica Mars in the opening scene and having Lt. Sulu.

I realized that it was a mistake about 1/2 through the show and Heroes has remained de-programmed from the DVR.

The Initiative? Gah. I obviously made the right decision to stop watching around episode 9... :S

Season 1 had its moments of fun.

Everything after that has been downhill, however.

* edited because "its" is possessive and "it's" = "it is" ;)

Does this mean that I'm not the only person who thought last night's episode blew technicolor chunks?

Personally I've thought everything last season and this season has blown technicolor chunks.

Well, that's just unfortunate.

And stupid.

Unfortunate and stupid can't be good.
