That Wasn't Exactly Fun

So, last night we had mildy yukky weather, but it doesn't adequately explain why my power kept blipping in and out from 7pm until 9pm.  At 9pm things just went boom and I lost power entirely until 4am this morning.  Since I could see lights at the post office and (because it's winter and the trees have dropped their leaves) I could see that hwy 280 still had its lights, I can only assume that the transformer serving my neighborhood and the apartment complex behind it blew leaving only those two tiny residential areas without power. *sigh*  

Who was sent home on Top Chef last night?

The power outtage and the fact that my laptop still had battery did mean that I did a little writing on my quasi-stalled fanfic, so that was something.

Yeah, we've got an ice storm headed this way tonight but hopefully it won't be big enough to knock out the power.
