Me neither. Fandom has enriched my life enormously. It got me writing again, for one thing. However, as you say to a poster below, I certainly wouldn't want to go through the whole real-time experience again (especially not the season 6/7 bit). Too hurtful. I think I would probably have persuaded myself that I imagined some of the nastiest things - the Spike fans aren't fit to raise their own children type of thing - if it weren't that the same group of die-hard nutters are still saying it to this day. Heh!
Personally, I like the dark. It's just that, unlike Joss, Marti and co in season 6, I know (knew even then) that there are limits you shouldn't step over if the characters in question aren't disposable (which Spike turned out not to be).
