Snow!

I know that Southerners always sound ridiculous when we react to snow, but it has been 3000 days since we've had measurable snow. Today we've had a little over 4" of snow (on top of our already blooming daffodils and forsythia), but -- still -- cool! We have snow.

I was just wondering if you had snow! I saw some weather coverage out of Atlanta and noticed that the snow seemed to be sweeping up from your area.

It snowed really hard this morning. Kinda cool.

Then it all melted this afternoon, so it was a quickie. But we did have 3" for a while.

Wow!
I think the snow is coming north. We are due for 4-6 inches today in NY. Wehad a trace last night,

It does look as though it's heading that direction.

We here in Memphis got from 6 to 8 inches, on top of the daffodils and forsythia blooms. My pink dogwood was just showing sign of buds, and I hope it doesn't mind a little snow.

Yes, the only unfortunate part was that spring has mostly sprung in the South. But, looking at how quick the warm up is apparently going to be, it doesn't look like it will be much of a problem, at least not around here.

SNOW! :D We got four inches here too, but it's almost all melted. It was so pretty last night though.

Same here. It came. We had several inches. And by four this afternoon it was all gone. But, yep, it was pretty while it lasted.

I'm a cranky Northerner. We *finally* got the big melt -- so I'm glad the new snow is by you and not by us. As it is, the snow mountains in the middle of the big parking lots probably won't be gone until May. Anyways, enjoy your moment of snow!

Oh, daffodils? What are they?

It being the South, the snow lasted all of three hours. We did get three inches of snow, but by this afternoon everything that wasn't in deep shadow was completely gone.

And it's in the 80's down here in Phoenix. Everything's in bloom.

We heard about the snow in the South on the radio and I piped up to Barb, "It's snowing in Southtown!" (I had to go to a Cold Miser place...) *g*

Heh.

But, it does occasionally snow, but it rarely, rarely lasts 24 hours. This time it lasted about 3. Nothing is left and we're expecting the 50s again tomorrow.

We had rain last Thursday, and then the weather turned cold so we're all ice. Snow can be dealt with but all you can do with ice is fall.

Ice always sucks.

It was weird to see that we had snow while on the weather screen we were also under a flood warning. Strange combo.

Hope the ice melted for you.

No melt yet, the temp is single digits tonight. Tomorrow starts a warm up though.
