Dear True Blood,
Please, never again bother with a Bill/Lorena flashback. After two exposures, it seems crystal clear that they suck. And I don't mean 'cool, vampire suck' I mean, this is just awful TV suck. The scenes are trite and predictable. And, if you ever suffered under the delusion that Lorena in any way rivaled either Darla or Drusilla, you are terribly, terribly mistaken. Lorena is just blah and unattractive with a really bad fake accent. Darla was at least compelling and Dru was so crazy she actually had some danger to her. Lorena is just... uck. Oh, and there is absolutely no chemistry in the Bill/Lorena scenes. Also, I'll repeat one more time that in flashbacks, Bill is the dorkiest vampire imaginable. So the next time you feel the need to throw in some quasi-historical Bill/Lorena flashback -- don't. They've been done way, way, way better with Forever Knight, with BtVS, and with AtS. And thus far all the Bill flashabcks and especially the Bill/Lorena flashbacks have been lamentably derivative.

Of more interest: Like Vampire Isabel. Layfayette is a little closer to his old self. What happened to Terry? Thought the Andy scene was funny. And continuity police, last we saw zombie-eyed Eggs last week he was doin' it doggie style to Tara yet when he rolls off... his zipper is up. I guess he has the same magic dry hump pants that Spike had with Harm. Finally, Godric is hot.

Anyway, True Blood, please kick it into high gear. It's been a bit slow the few weeks.

Me likee. Now, Tully, unlike TB's Lorena, was actually compelling. I even enjoy Mitchell's vamp stalker Laura. Tully and Laura come across as both legitimately intimidating and tormented. That's good in 'villains'. I also liked the nurse that gave George shit. (Question: the 'porter' UK equivalent of an orderly?) Anyway, I'm enjoying Being Human

I thought the original Bill/Lorena (in Season One) was reasonably interesting but these last two... snore... And what did Bill do all those years between CA and LA, eat rats in an alley and save puppies?

I'm in general not that excited about this season of True Blood. I feel as if they're spreading themselves too thin or something. And yes, Lorena is a snooze.
