Finally managed a couple of days off (literally, a couple of days) and have hit the beach.

Thus far we've lucked out with amazing weather. Clear, light breeze, clear water, and not hot. It's August in Florida, how is it not hot?

Yeah, it's really nice sand and no seaweed. Usually this time of year there's a ton of seaweed. But the water is clear and so is the sand, I suppose it may be that there haven't been any hurricanes so far this season.

My family has an old house about a half mile from the beach, but my nephew has been living here all summer between semesters so I hadn't had a chance to visit the beach until this week.
