My reaction upon reading this is GOOD! That's what they get for pandering to loudmouthed bigots(though we've long had evidence that not even the most blatant incompetence, homophobia, and misogyny will get the people in charge of ABC Daytime fired.)

From Daytime Confidential:

One Life to Live hit a new low as fans tuned out in droves, following the shoddy, fear-based exit of groundbreaking supercouple Kyle (Brett Claywell) and Oliver(Scott Evans). OLTL lost 227,000 total viewers, hitting the soap opera's all-time low rating. OLTL was also down year-to-date 310,000, and was dead last among total viewers. The soap I used to race home to watch first every day, but now  can go days on end without even being bothered to look at, also dropped to record low in the women 18-49 demo. Looks like the Kish fans have spoken.

Excellent news. And the "sendoff" they gave them was really kind of mediocre, too. I know I won't be watching any more.

Honestly, I stopped watching during the brouahaha prior to the final scenes. They really managed to fire and/or humilate everyone I actually watched for. I watched for Kish, for Scott Clifton, and I love the characters of Layla and Brody. Well they fired Kish and Scott Clifton, put Layla on recurring and are having her and Brody be the pointless also rans in the unbelievably stupid Jessica is sixteen again and wants Cristian back story. There's nothing left that I want to watch. I only caught the end of Kish on Youtube.

I'm now 100% soap free.

I will be come September, when ATWT goes off the air. I will say they finally have a decent story for Nuke with this love triangle (because for once, the third party is a viable option - and adorable to boot).

I hear there are some good ones online now. Roger from WeLoveSoaps seems to think they're the future of soaps.

I managed to miss the KISH send-off. I assume GiGi was oh-so-selfless and "let" the baby go with her actual father? I am really just a split second away from being done.

The Jessica story really makes me want to stab her with many sharp things even though I'm supposed to feel sorry for her. The idea of a grown-ass woman fretting about prom is just ridiculous. It will turn any adult woman away quickly and it certainly won't appeal to the high school set.

Now we have reiteration 12,344,980 of "how can Todd be extremely vile to Marty?" and I'm supposed to feel bad for her too but I can barely stand the character.

I think they may be setting up a romance between Brody and Natalie. I'm not sure how I feel about that. More Brody is awesome, but I loathe the inevitable re-sane Jessica bemoaning how Natalie stole her man. blech.
