I was a bit underwhelmed by the finale of "The Tudors." I kind of liked his being haunted by visions of Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, though. Overall I found it to be surprisingly tepid. I guess that's what happens when your lead doesn't have a dramatic end. He just gets old, sick, and dies.

At least they didn't do retcon and have him die gloriously in battle or something ;)

Agreed. I mean, his ending is just not that dramatic. What happens *after* his death for about 15 years or so is a pretty wild ride, but he just doesn't have a great exit. Then again, the HBO miniseries did a pretty good job with Elizabeth's 'she gets old, sick, and dies' but that entire production was ... in another category from The Tudors.
