So a lot of secrets came out tonight.

Jason confesses to Tara that he shot Eggs (Nice work by the actors. This actually moved me)

Arlene confesses to Terry that the baby isn't his(and aw, Terry. You're a real stand-up guy. Love ya. And again, I was moved).

Hoyt confesses his love to Jessica. And Jessica confesses that she loves him. (Aw Hoyt. You're a great guy. Yay for punching pipsqueak Tommy. Tommy is just a little shit. And yay, for Jessica for saving Hoyt. Nice gender reversal! I like the female vampire getting the angsty rescuer role. And now Jessica/Hoyt are blood bonded. Guess, Hoyt is gonna have sexy dreams of Jessica. He probably won't complain about that.)

Jesus told Lafayette the truth about his power. Voodoo priestesses and shamans. I approve.

Bill told Sookie about her fae geneology.

Sam is a murderer? Yikes. Hadn't guessed that one.

And Tara straight-up told Sookie the damage that had been done when Bill ignored her plight. Go Tara.

Um, Sookie? If you're kissing another guy like that, perhaps you should reconsider your commitment to the other one.

Guess Eric listened to Pam after all. But, Eric, FYI, when trying to impress a girl, chaining her up in your basement isn't going to end well.

Finally, Russell you are one batshit crazy dude!!! Go on your bad, crazy self.

Oh and Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were married yesterday (in real life).

Okay, pretty bored by this episode all together. And I can't help but think that they're doing with Eric what they always did with Spike: set it up as "oh no! Is Spike really a bad guy again?" only to have it turn out to be a fake-out. I need to go read some good Spuffy fanfic after the letdown the Bill and Sookie show is becoming.

See, they actually don't bother me much. Sure it's a cliche, but really at this point the whole triangle is a cliche. I don't actually take sides with it. I actually prefer the Lafayette, Jason, Tara, Jessica, and Russell storylines more than the triangle of endless tribulations (and dick measuring).

You know, I will never, ever get into the fandom for this show, because I hate, hate, HATE all this "OOOOOOOOOh, Eric is Spike!" stuff just as much as I hated the the "Ooooooh, Logan is Spike!" stuff on "Veronica Mars," and the irrational frothing hatred of the character that people identified as "Angel." No, they aren't. Spike is Spike, Logan is Logan, and Bill and Eric seem pretty neck and neck in the irritating asshole department - not that Sookie is much better, so who cares which one she ends up with?

Totally agree. The Eric= Spike thing irritates the hell out of me. No he's not! He's not at all. They're both blond, that's it. Other than that they just are not the same! And really, Bill is over identified with Angel. Bill isn't Angel either. Eric isn't Spike just like Sawyer wasn't Spike. Bill isn't Angel just like Jack isn't Angel. Just because there's a triangle doesn't make these guys the same! (And people do the same thing with The Vampire Diaries. No, people, Damon is not Spike! Stefan is not Angel! Look at characters for their own selves, don't graft other characters {and issues with other characters} on them!)

That said, Russell is one batshit crazy villain (and I of love him for it! Rage on, Russell. Rage on!)

And I do love the secondary characters. Jason had a particularly good performance last night. His confessing to Tara that he'd shot Eggs was powerful, which is difficult coming from a character who is usually there to be funny. But I appreciate the dimwitted manwhore with heart of gold.

Terry hurt but generous love to Arlene when she finally confessed that the baby is Renes (and so she thinks it's like Rosemary's baby or something) and him saying that he'll be that baby's daddy and give it all the love it deserves. Aw, Terry. {{hugs}} (That said, the more Arlene worries about it, the more I wonder if she has something to worry about. I mean, we know we're heading into coven of witches time).

Speaking of, Lafayette discovering he comes from a line of voodoo priestesses? Awesome! (Which since Tara is his cousin makes you question just how serious they were about her 'conjuring' Maryanne. Could Tara have that power too?)

And Jessica/Hoyt getting the gender reversal vampire romance is nice. Her rushing to his rescue and getting him to drink her blood to save him was yay. I totally prefer their romance. Plus, it's nice to see the gender reversal once in a while.

But Eric is not Spike! And Bill is not Angel! I wish people would stop making that analogy. Like you, I really dislike those comparisons.

OH MY GOD, YES TO ALL OF THIS. I am so sick of defining every vampire as the "Spike" or the "Angel" of the show. And Eric and Bill are both keeping things from Sookie and being bad (for vampires). What I mean is, neither one seems to be the "good" vampire.

Also, Russell is 3000 YEARS OLD. And he had no idea what Sookie was? Am I just imagining this conversation? Didn't he ask her what she was when he talked to her in his study? Wouldn't he have had fairy blood before?

I think Hoyt will probably especially enjoy the sexy dreams because in dreaml;and she doesn't have to be.

I wonder if Russell does have an inkling. Certainly the queen suspects. It may be just that they think the fae are extinct.

I liked the parts you liked, except that I also loved the Eric stuff. At the moment, only Crystal bores me to tears now that the Mickenses have gone.
