Sep. 9th, 2010 09:39 pmSo I've been splitting time between the game and the CW. Interesting where they've left Damon. And, I actually quite enjoyed the pilot episode of Nikita.
From USA Today:
Nikita
There are virtues to this action-thriller update of La Femme Nikita beyond star Maggie Q, to be sure. The original conceit — an unwilling assassin trying to escape her former employer — is still a sturdy one, and the producers have put a neat new Dollhouse-ish spin on top of it. [Me: Except for the mind-wiped prostitution part. Not saying that being made an assassin is that much better. But, not wind-wiping stuff. And Nikita herself is on the outside trying to bring it down so it's more palatable to me that way] And welcome faces in the supporting cast include Once and Again's Shane West and 24's Xander Berkeley.
But Nikita is designed to put all eyes on Nikita — and Maggie Q makes sure they stay there. Whether in a fight or in a tight red dress, she is a sight to behold and a force to be reckoned with. And she makes Nikita a show to watch.
