No kidding. You know, I can accept that the vampires have a different values system, but I'm starting to feel like Elena is kind of an awful person for being so okay with all the murders Caroline has committed right in front of her!

I know. I got an unintentional LOL when Caroline said she couldn't go home and Elena asked why. Er... what part of 'murdering her mom's co-workers' did you miss? (And that wasn't even what she was afraid of! LOL!)

I thought the exact same thing! Does Caroline get a special pass because she's Elena's friend, or is Elena just that desensitized to vampires that them killing people doesn't faze her anymore?

Caroline and Damon, actually. They've both offed their fair share of citizens. Good thing they're cute. :)

Haha, well, we all know why Damon gets a special pass. :) If this conversation were on DW, I'd bust out my dancing Damon icon, but alas, you'll just have to imagine. :)

That kind of weirded me out too. I know the deputies were a threat to the vampires obviously, but at the end of the day they were only doing their jobs, so Caroline just up and killing them really shocked me. I could see where Liz was coming from when she couldn't accept Damon saying that Caroline was still the same person. I dread to think how Bonnie will react if she ever finds out about it!

Not to mention Damon casually feeding on the deputy while Elena was tending to Stefan.

ETA Not Damon's actions surprising me there I mean, but Elena accepting it/not seeming to realy notice or care

I enjoyed the twist because I hadn't expected the werewolf uncle to go so evil so fast.

Haha, I am sort of torn on the twist. On the one hand, I'm disappointed, because I don't care about the Lockwoods and I wanted the werewolf story to be disposed of quickly, which it clearly won't now. But on the other hand, at least involving Katherine will make it slightly more interesting.

I know. I'm not a big fan of the werewolf plot, but I thought Uncle Werewolf was hot so I'm okay with the Werewolf plot becoming just an appendage to the Katherine plot.
