*  I've resolved that under absolutely no circumstances am I watching election night coverage tomorrow night.  I really do not need the aggravation of the pundocrisy  nattering obnoxiously.  I fully intend to vote, civic duty and all of that, but I'm not going to watch the ridiculous coverage.  It's just too depressing and ugh!

* I'm watching HIMYM and really it either cracks me up or completely annoys me that they think we're supposed to buy that Ted is designing a skyscraper ALL BY HIMSELF!  And on a freaking drawing board no less!  A sky scraper.  By himself.  On a drawing board.  Unrealistic doesn't begin to cover it.  Not even close.  Not even at all.

This is why whenever I write something I really know nothing about, I end up researching the hell out of it, just so I don't annoy the hell out of people who DO know! :-)

I feel your pain - on both counts. On the latter score, fro me it's the shows where a book gets turned in on a Monday and is in stores by Friday. Seriously, even if you don't know anything about editors and copy editors and typesetting, do you really think it could be ohysically produced and trucked around the country that fast? Sheesh!

Yeah, my plan is to crawl in a hole and hide till it's over.

It's all those budget cuts, I guess - no one can afford a CAD...

Except he's working for Goliath National Bank who like Goldman Sachs is no doubt rolling in cash... which is why I keep laughing my ass off about Ted turning (or even contemplating turning) down that job. Dude, in this economy? Turn down a job like that? Do they not have any conception the kind of commission a job like that would entail?!

And, yeah, It's coing to be a DVD or OnDemand night for sure!

Do they think Ted is Mike Brady?

LOL! I don't think even Mike Brady would have attempted a sky scraper without the rest of the firm! A Structural engineer at the the absolute least! (Though mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers would also be needed... and that's if Ted was willing to go without sleep for the next three years while drawing what would no doubt be several hundred sheets of construction documents. I've had three high school kobs that required in excess of 250 pages of construction documents with 500 pages of specifications!

I felt the same way during our election, though I think our new coverage is still probably better than yours. Even so, I didn't want to see it. Just went out to vote and that was that.
