Others have mentioned it but,  jerrymcl89  has unexpectedly died (far too young).  He was always such a nice, level-headed guy, and one of the few in the Buffy (and Spike) fandom going back to the BAPS and the Sparklies days.   It's hard to believe that I knew him for around ten years.  Time goes by so fast. 

He always had common sense even when the fandom got nuts, and he was always a welcome presence in post- episode BtVS, AtS, Firefly and 24  chats.   He always had nice things to say, and a lot of love for Anya and for Cangel. And the X-Files.  And 24.  So many conversations (and a few friendly political debates).  So hard to believe that he's gone.  Just like that -- he's gone. It doesn't seem real.

He was a really nice guy.  Smart, funny, and kind.  He will be missed.

I was stunned when I saw it in Wendy's journal. I was "Jerry?... you mean our Jerry?"

It's just so incredibly sad.

ww1614 has some more info, but there doesn't seem to be much info known. He had diabetes and that may have been a contributing factor.

It's really a shock. And so very, very sad.

I don't remember what screen name he may have used on Sparklies. Txvoodoo might. He was a regular on BAPS and a lot of the post-episode chats. And Firefly and 24 stuff as well.

This is 1 thing that threw me about Jerry tho. He'd just wished me good luck with my surgery and this happens out of the blue? I mean not to be morbid but it would have been so shocking if it were me who went, since vie been sick a while. Not Jerry!

Socky, I didn't recognize the handle, either. I looked at his journal and recognized the icon from hanging around lj for years, but if we jibbered with each other at Sparklies, I'm not aware of it.
